Great micro-business idea: making pendants

I’ve always loved the idea of running my own business, however small; yes it’s a hassle, and yes there are a few headaches every once in a while which mean it’s not always as simple as you’d like it to be, but it’s still a great way to enjoy employment. At least if you ask me.

And I am always looking for new ways to make money. The other day, in fact, I stumbled across a new small business which really blew me away. It was a company which made pendants out of stone and then sold them on for a much higher price.

Now, I should say that I don’t actually know how much profit this man or woman was making, but I did read the About Me section and got the distinct impression that it was a great business model. The man or woman would head over to Brazil, collect loads of rough rock and then have it shipped back to the UK. Once there, he or she would go about shaping it and forming it into shapes. Butterflies, sea-horses, that kind of a thing. Then he or she sold it for good money. Credit where credit is due, I thought, that is really something. Both creative and money-making. Now that is the way to go if you’re not one for following the rules.

For now I am sticking to my Domestic Cleaning Surrey jobs and hoping the perfect idea comes to me. Oh, and continuing to make loads of jewellery of course. That should go without saying!

Jewelry – A Spiritual Bond With Mankind

Youngster love buying inexpensive jewelry. Middle aged individuals who earn a lot love to splurge on expensive stones. How about elderly individuals? One would expect them to overcome the lure of jewelry with passing time. Those who own quality stuff may like to sport them around once in a while. Those who have passed their jewelry on to their children and grandchildren may buy new stuff once in a while. However, one certainly does not expect 80 year old women to go around stealing jewelry, right?

Doris Payne, an 80 year old woman, has pleaded guilty to stealing jewelry from a Santa Monica store. She calls herself a professional jewelry thief and wears clothes with deep pockets to steal jewelry when the staff is not looking. She made it a point to steal from high end stores only.

Morality apart, one is forced to wonder at the lure of jewelry. These precious stones cast such a spell on people that individuals who should be wearing a compression short to keep up blood circulation in the legs go around stealing them just for the sheer joy of owning jewelry. Jewelry is often touted as a fashion accessory but the truth is that it is older than fashion and has a deeper spiritual connection with mankind.

The next time your spouse tells you to lay off from spending a lot on jewelry, just tell your spouse that it is the best way to avoid ending up as a 80 year old jewelry stealing grandma.
